Sonmarg:

The drive to sonmarg is through the sindh valley which presents yet another spectacular facet of countryside. It situated at an altitude of 2730 m, Sonamarg [The meadow of gold] has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against sky. The sindh river that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and Mahaseer. Ponies can be hired for the Taxiways glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer months.

Sonmarg is the base of a major trek that passes along several mountain Lakes - like Vishansar, Kinshasa, Gads ar, Grantable, Sonamarg is also the lake off station for the drive to Landmark across the Zoril,a major pass in the great Range,through which the Srinagar-L eh Road passes.You can also do trout fishing too in sonamarg. Full day for fishing. Evening walk or rest around the camp. We provide all fishing equipments. Afternoon drive back to houseboat. We also provide Ishihara Ride to back water.

Gulmarg:

Is well suited for learning skiing. It has some of the best slopes for beginners and intermediate skiiers. All serviced by ski lifts and chair lifts. Most of the skiing activities are centered. On these slopes,which have ski runs ranging 200 and 900mtrs and the biggest golf course in india and also you can do a ice skating over there it is known as trekking place.

However, not all tourists who visits Gulmarg in Winter come for skiing. Some are simply there to watch the skiing or to enjoy a holidays in the snow. Many of them infected with the excitement of the skiers don their first pair of skis with a short white on their arrival, now with the setting up of the Gondola cable car, Gulmarg has become the highest lift served ski resort in the world providing a down hill ski run of 5.2Km from a height of 14000ft in the Apharwat range. It is also the longest Gondola served ski lift in Asia.

Pahalgham :

[2130m | 90Km] Pahalgam is the other well known mountain resort of Kashmir which receives heavy rainfall during the Winter. Pahelgam lies on either side of Lidder river. As it gushes down from its source in the himalayan range. In winter when the snow is deep, the resort provides for skiing. The Lidder river is also a best place for white water river rafting activities.
